To build a thriving regional economy, we must recognize that an innovation ecosystem is not a series of isolated programs, but a living, interdependent network of people, organizations, and relationships that turn good ideas into real economic outcomes. Much like a self-organizing coral reef rather than a managed aquarium, a healthy ecosystem relies on connective tissue to let knowledge, capital, and relationships flow freely.
